Charubrata Ray, Shiladitya RoyThe Bengali community of Pune this year is putting up adrama show which is a collaboration between two Bengali cultural groups. Nandanik Sanstha, a socio-cultural group of Kalyaninagar and Koregaon Park and Dishari which is a well-known drama group which has put up many successful Bangla Notoks like Haterbajar, Teener Talwar etc. 

Last year in the month of July, Nandanik Sanstha and Dishari organised 'Ekti Natya Shondha' for the first time staging two different Bangla Natoks. It was very well attended by the Bengali Community of Pune. Encouraged with the response last year they are back with 'Ekti Natya Shondha' again. Hoping to see all theatre lovers for this show. 

This year the two plays that are going to be showcased are:
- Shrimati Bhayankari, a comic play enacted by artists from Nandanik Sanstha. This play is about the marriage scenarios of two sisters who are completely opposite in nature. There are various scenarios that come up while looking for an alliance for the young and fiery sister in particular. The climax has an interesting twist. 

- Buro Shaliker Ghare Ron, a humorous satire written by Micheal Madhusudan Dutta being enacted by artists from Dishari. This play deals with a certain period of time in the history of rural Bengal when feudalism is on the wane and colonialism is on the rise. An extremely lecherous old man who is also a landlord wishes to acquire a Muslim girl as his concubine. However, his effort is marred by the ready wit of the Muslim couple following which the landlord falls in a fix how to escape the trouble.
